License API

The License API lets an installed product claim, check, and release a licensed seat.

Activate

Section titled “Activate”
POST /v1/licenses/activate

Use activation when a product instance starts using a license key.

Required fields:

  • license_key
  • product_key
  • instance_id

Validate

Section titled “Validate”
POST /v1/licenses/validate

Use validation for routine check-ins from an already activated instance.

Deactivate

Section titled “Deactivate”
POST /v1/licenses/deactivate

Use deactivation when an instance should release its seat.

Public signing key

Section titled “Public signing key”
GET /v1/orgs/:organizationId/products/:productKey/public-key

Use this endpoint to fetch the public key needed to verify offline license tokens.
